What Does Subliminal Mean
Subliminal, what does it mean, anyway?
Well, the technical definition of subliminal is that it's something that happens
below the range of conscious perception.
Take subliminal software, for example. These programs flash messages, or positive
affirmations, across your computer screen. These messages only last for a fraction of a second, far too fast for
the human eye to see, or the conscious mind to see clearly.
Your subconscious mind is another story. While your conscious mind might not be
able to perceive these ultra quick messages, your subconscious mind isn't only aware of them, it absorbs them. And,
depending on what these messages say, they can actually change the way you think, feel, or behave.
Why do subliminal messages work? Because our minds put up barriers against
affirmations or messages we are conscious of. Telling yourself you feel confident can help some.
But there will probably be a little voice at the back of your mind reminding you
of all the things that could go wrong, and filling you with self doubt in relation to feeling more
But, when you conscious mind isn't aware of the positive subliminal messages, it
can't erect those barriers. So the affirmations can do their work. They achieve their effect
That is the power of subliminal messaging tools. The reasons you do the things you
do, feel the way you feel, and say the things you say, are buried in your subconscious.
And, when subliminal messages are delivered directly to your subconscious mind,
they go right to the root of the problem, and start making changes from the inside out.
So in conclusion 'subliminal' means: - some information or
message that is input to your brain via one of your senses, without you being aware of it.
Subliminal research has proven time and time again that the messages do indeed
have an effect on our thinking.
